The student work is graded based on three main categories per semester
Classwork 40% of the final semester grade
Labs 20% of the final semester grade
Test 40% of the final semester grade
What if my student is missing an assignment?
What if my student is missing an assignment?
It is the student's responsibility to check her/his grade on a daily basis. If there's any missing assignment by the due date, this will be graded with a zero.
The student must talk to the teacher directly in order to be able to complete the assignment. All late work will be accepted up to 2 weeks from the due date for partial credit.

Per our Student Handbook: "After an absence, it is the student’s responsibility to communicate with the teacher for make-up work. The student must complete and turn in work within a reasonable time in accordance with the teacher’s late work policy. An Unexcused Absence does not allow a student to make up missed class work."

All students in High School have the opportunity to revise and make corrections to the assignments that have been turned in on time for half credit. It is my belief that we all learn from our mistakes, and corrections help us improve.
Students who want to correct their work must reach out to me in a timely manner.

All of our grades are updated on a weekly basis in PowerSchool. Please look for specific notes that I might add to individual assignments as I see fit.
Any missing or incomplete assignment will be properly labeled in order to communicate more effectively. If you have any additional questions about this, please reach out to the me.
