Welcome to this site. I'm an English and publications teacher at Casady School, an independent Episcopal college preparatory day school in northwest Oklahoma City. My work focuses on Romantic, Victorian, and Modern British literature, with interests in serialization, globalization, cultural studies, and critical theory. I currently serve as lead teacher for the sophomore course, British and Continental Literature: Culture, Conflict, and Compromise. Additionally, I teach three senior English seminars. My current topics for seniors are: Dive into Dante, Mysteries in Fiction and Film, and Conceptual Metaphor. Occasionally, I offer topical courses such as post-apocalyptic literature, the journey, and postcolonial perspectives. I invite you to click on the tabs above to learn more about my areas of scholarly research and teaching.
The image above is a photograph I took of the Casady Lake looking towards the sunrise one early, misty morning in 2005. The campus has changed somewhat over the years, so this image will be familiar only to faculty, staff, and alumni of that era.
