  Family History
  • Historical sources inform people about life in the past (letters, maps, photographs, newspapers). They tell us about: the types of homes and buildings, clothing, travel and transportation, jobs, food and cooking, play and leisure time, technology, schools, roles of women and children.
  • All families have a history and they record their history with letters, photographs, videos, etc.
  • Families share a cultural heritage (songs, dances, food, costumes, stories, etc.)
  • Families pass history, values, traditions, and beliefs from generation to generation.

• Structures of different animals and their function in growth, survival, and reproduction.  o Wings, legs, fins (seek shelter and escape predators)

• Unit project: investigation Create their book about their favorite animal, and present it to the class. Describe what the animal is, has, and can do.
