Carver Middle High School (CMHS) is no longer missing their pep rally and spirit week. Students and staff are thrilled to hear this coming year these activities will be during the third week of November.
“I like how it gives us a break from all the work and brings us together as a school,” Isley Costa, a student at CMHS said.
Spirit week and pep rally are for all high school students grade 9-12. The pep rally is held in the high school gym during the school day. Spirit week will be 3 days in a row falling on the third day will be the rally.
"Planning on the week of Thanksgiving spirit days will be that week leading up to the half-day. The pep rally will fall on that half day,” said Christopher Tresca, Student Council Advisor.
"The pep rally and spirit week is the best part of my year. I get to talk to friends I don't have classes with and interact with everyone”. Said high school student Madison Kelle.
As November gets closer there will be more details on spirit week. Student council does know that one theme which will be for Wednesday will be grade colors. When each grade has one color that every student has to wear for that day.
Although a lot of students get excited for these events there's always going to be students that don't have the same interests and students who would rather miss it. Knowing this CMHS staff has separate spaces for the children who get permission to leave the rally.
A sign of relief that things are finally going back to normal for the students and staff within the walls of CMHS .
