How do we continue coding at

Carver Elementary School?

We use the Code.org curriculum for students in grades K-5. This curriculum allows students to learn and practice coding skills at their developmental level. Activities are plugged (online) and unplugged (off technology). PreK students have begun coding skills already using the Code & Go Mouse. Students in K-5 will expand their knowledge of coding to robots. We currently use the Code & Go Mice, Ozobot Bits, and Lego WeDo 2.0 robotic kits. Students in upper grades will also be learning how to program and create 3D printing.

All of the robots have been purchased through grants applied by Mrs. Kent, through sites such as Donors Choose and MassCue, as well as support from our Carver Elementary School PTO. If you would like to help more please visit Mrs. Kent's current grant requests on Donors Choose and share the links to businesses, family, or friends. The current grant requests are for technology to support our robots and to begin our video and podcasting production programs.

Thank you for your support.
