-1 or 2 inch 3-Ring Binder with paper OR 3 Subject Spiral Notebook with Pockets - NO FOLDERS
Classroom Expectations/Grading Policy
I am looking forward to a great semester of American History! You will be studying the political, social, economic, and cultural issues of the United States that have shaped our nation from its beginnings to today. Over the course of this semester, you will develop a “sense of history” that will help you become a valuable and productive citizen.
Classroom Expectations
*The Honor Code will be enforced in class. Cheating & plagiarism by sharing and/or copying another's work are serious offenses and will result in lowered/no grade and/or an office referral!!
1. Follow directions the 1st time they are given
2. Bring all needed materials daily. (Charged Chromebook, Notebook, Pen/Pencil)
3. Respect others.
* All student behavior will be handled based on the student handbook.
*CELL PHONES/EARBUDS ARE NOT TO BE VISIBLE DURING THE SCHOOL DAY. SMARTWATCHES ARE TO BE USED FOR TIME ONLY!!
*DRESS CODE WILL BE ENFORCED ACCORDING TO SCHOOL POLICY
*Students should be ready to begin class by the tardy bell. (Students will have assigned seats and are expected to be in it promptly.)
*ATTENDANCE IS EXPECTED DAILY. Only 8 absences are allowed per semester in order to receive credit.
This course is a graduation requirement.
Grading Policy: PROGRESS REPORTS WILL BE ISSUED EVERY 3 WEEKS!!
Major Grades - 50% of 6 weeks average (Tests and Projects)
Make-up tests must be arranged within 3 days of the scheduled
test.
Minor Grades - 50% of 6 weeks average (Classwork, quizzes, homework, tech
assignments)
