Year 7/8 Writers Competition 2021

2021 marks the first year Year 7/8 has run a narrative writing competition. The competition called for entries from students in Year 7/8 on the theme of 'change'. The judges were Katie Pigeon, English Department and Katy Body, Year 7/8 Department.

Judging will take into account the following criteria:

• Originality

• An ability to engage the reader

• An effective setting (time and place are apparent)

• Well developed central character

• Use of descriptive and figurative language
