All About Mrs. Vanderschaaf
Hello! My name is Michelle Vanderschaaf and I am thrilled to be in my 4th year of teaching 5th grade at Magnolia Elementary.
Besides Magnolia, I have taught 6th grade in Temecula, 1st through 5th in Escondido, and part time at Kelly Elementary. At Kelly, I taught intervention, Art, Science, and STEM. I also enjoyed teaching ESL to adults for a couple of years.

My husband Robin and I have been married for 19 years and have two kids - Ally is beginning her freshman year at Long Beach State and Case is a sophomore at Carlsbad High School. I love being a mom and spend a lot of time cheering my daughter on at the beach volleyball court or my son wrestling, playing soccer or on the go kart track racing. I also enjoy traveling with my family and spending as much time as possible soaking up the beach. We have one dog that adds fun to our lives. I consider myself fortunate to live and teach in the beautiful city of Carlsbad!
