A Bit About Me...
I am excited to have the privilege of teaching your child in their 5th grade year. In case you do not know me, let me introduce myself.
I grew up in Carlsbad and attended Magnolia, Valley Jr. High, and Carlsbad High School. I did leave Carlsbad for a while to attend college at Cal-Poly, Pomona, and then returned and completed my teacher education at Cal-State, San Marcos. This is my 32nd year teaching in the Carlsbad Unified School District.
In addition to being a teacher, I am a wife and a mother of three, wonderful children named Hannah (Kindergarten teacher at BV), Jason (EMT-firefighter), and Trevor (works/goes to college). My husband, Skip, is a retired captain from the Carlsbad Fire Department and now is the director of the EMT program at Palomar College. I sure love living and working in Carlsbad… great schools and a great community!
As you can guess, we have a busy family life too, so I believe open communication is a vital part of the home/school relationship. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school. lclark@carlsbadusd.net or 760-331-5600
I look forward to being a positive part of your child’s learning experience and together we will have a terrific year.
