Drug & Alcohol Policy

Guidelines and expectations for student conduct pertaining to the use of illegal narcotics and alcohol

The school administration, in accordance with state laws, will determine the appropriate disciplinary measures to be taken concerning all instances of severe inappropriate behavior. Immediate actions could include: removal of the student from class, activity, or event; suspension & parents contacted.

Specifically in regard to illegal narcotics and alcohol, the carrying, possessing, concealing, offering or giving to another illegal substances/weapons or other items such as, but not limited to, questionable books and pictures, knives, guns, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, etc. is forbidden on the school premises or in the vicinity or the school. This also includes time spent on service trips, field trips, etc.

Further stated: The administration of Cardinal Mooney Catholic reserves the right to discipline its students for conduct inside or outside school that is not in accordance with the behavioral expectations of its students during the course of the school day.
