School Dismissal
We at Carbon School District realize that the temporary dismissal of school will affect families in many different ways. It is important to us to continue to provide healthy, well balanced meals to all children in our area. At this time we have elected to offer, at no cost, breakfast and lunch to all children (not just students) ages 18 and younger. This includes any children that are too young to attend school (birth - 6).
These meals will be delivered Monday through Friday, until school resumes, by bus at regular elementary bus stops.
Secondary aged students can receive free meals at any elementary bus stop. Castle Valley buses will deliver meals to each regular stop as well.
Please see links below for delivery locations in non busing areas and a few bus stops for those unfamiliar with busing routes in their area.
8:00 AM - 9:30 AM Breakfast grab and go sacks will be distributed at each bus stop.
12:00 PM - 1:30 PM Lunch grab and go sacks will be distributed at each bus stop.
**Please allow time at each stop for meals to be handed out before moving on to the next stop.
Children MUST be present to receive a meal. No meals will be given for children at home.

*At this time we are not able to sell lunches to adults (19 and older). We apologize for any inconvience this may cause.
**Buses will begin delivering meals to the stop closest to the schools and work their way out to other stops as they would on a normal school day. The goal is to keep the groups as small as possible to prevent the spreading of communicable diseases. As soon as we have worked out general time frames for each stop we will post them here. Please allow a few days to figure out the logistics. We are working to feed as many children as possible, we appreciate your patience during this initial implementation.
