In this page you will find all relevant information if you have been asked to learn from home.
If you struggle to access a computer or device to obtain all the information you need to complete your work, please contact your Year Leader immediately.
Your lessons will be delivered online following your normal school timetable but only some days of the week. Check the timetable above and your Year Group Google Classroom for more information on what days these will be every week.
On a day where you attend Remote Live lessons, follow these steps.
Your lessons will be delivered live online following your normal school timetable.
If you use a tablet or phone to access Remote Learning, ensure that you have downloaded the Google Classroom and Google Meet apps.
At 8.30am, log into your Year Group Google Classroom (8.15am on Thursday) for a Good Morning meeting with your Year Leader. They will outline the day for you, share any relevant messages and deliver the relevant programmes.
Log into each of the Google Classrooms for the lessons you have on that day and find the link to the Google Meet and to any relevant resources you will need to follow the lesson. (see Student Expectations for Google Meet here.)
YOU ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL OF THESE SESSIONS - A register will be taken for all these lessons and your parents contacted if you are not present.
Submit any work the teacher requires you to upload in a timely manner.
Ensure you have a break away from the computer and have food at relevant times. Ensure that you regularly drink water.
Complete all homework set.
If you do not have access to a computer and the school has not been able to provide you one, your Year Team Leader will get in touch to invite you to attend school.
On a day where you do not attend Remote Live lesson, follow the routine outlined below:
First thing in the morning, log into Google Classrooms and go to each of the Google Classrooms that you have that day.
Make a note of all the work you need to do on that day if you cannot have access to the computer for the rest of the day. This might be the case if you are sharing a computer with other members of your family.
At 8.30am, log into your Year Group Google Classroom (8.15am on Thursday) for a Good Morning meeting with your Year Leader. They will outline the day for you, share any relevant messages and deliver the relevant programmes. If your sibling is using the computer, you might be able to do this from your phone or watch the recording later on in the day.
Complete all the work set in your school books.
YOU ARE EXPECTED TO SUBMIT ANY WORK SET BY YOUR TEACHERS 8.30am THE FOLLOWING MORNING. A picture of your completed work will be sufficient if you are sharing a computer with other members of the family. Your parents will be contacted if you fail to submit your work.
Ensure you have a break away from electronic devices at the usual times that you would have it in school and that you have some food. Make sure you regularly drink water.
Complete all homework set.

At 8.15am, log into your Year Group Google Classroom and check the daily video that your Year Leader has posted to outline the day for you and to share any relevant messages with you.
At 8.30am click on the link to your Learning Advisor session

Complete all lessons outlined in the schedule for every day that you are self-isolating.
Log into Google Classrooms and complete all homework set by your teacher and submit on time.
You can submit pictures of your completed work if you are sharing a computer with other members of the family.
It's very important that every day you do some exercise, so thanks to PE, here's some great activites you can do while you are self-isolating.
Click the picture to visit the PE site and see the Core PE pages for ideas. Remember that you can only complete the activities that do not involve you leaving your home.
