Registration Procedures

All volunteers in Cape Elizabeth Schools are required to complete our volunteer registration procedure before volunteering in our schools. Below you will find detailed instructions for parent/guardian volunteers and for community volunteers (those with no students currently in Cape Elizabeth Schools.) Registration procedures for all volunteers are similar except that parent/guardian volunteers complete forms through PowerSchool accounts and community volunteers complete forms in hard copy and provide two references.

*As of June 2017, all volunteers are required to resubmit CRC background check information and permission to process (section 4 of registration form) every 5 years.

**As of June 2017, volunteers who serve in regularly scheduled 1:1 capacities and/or chaperone overnight field trips will be required to submit to finger print checks in addition to standard State Police CRC checks.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURES

PARENT/GUARDIAN VOLUNTEERS

NEW Parent/Guardian Volunteers are required to:

1. Complete sections 1,2,3 and 4 of the Parent Volunteer Information Form that can be accessed through the Parent PowerSchool Portal. **Please complete the form for your youngest school age child only**

RETURNING Parent/Guardian Volunteers are required to:

1. Complete sections 2 and 3 of the Parent Volunteer Information Form that can be accessed through the Parent PowerSchool Portal. **Please complete the form for your youngest school age child only**

2. Complete section 4 (CRC Check) if previous check is 5 years old or more. If section 4 on your form is blank, please complete again.


COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS

NEW Community Volunteers are required to:

1. Complete all sections of the Community Volunteer Application that can be accessed by contacting Volunteer Coordinator John Holdridge at jholdridge@capeelizabethschools.org

RETURNING Community Volunteers are required to:

1. Complete sections 2 and 3 of the Community Volunteer Application that can be accessed by contacting Volunteer Coordinator John Holdridge at jholdridge@capeelizabethschools.org

2. Complete section 4 (CRC Check) if previous check is 5 years old or more. The district volunteer coordinator will notify you when this is necessary.

ATHLETIC TEAM VOLUNTEERS

*** All Athletic Team Volunteers are registered through the Athletics Department***
