STUDENT DRIVEN LEARNING

Student Driven Learning is a program of study at Cape Elizabeth High School, in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, that allows Juniors and Seniors to earn academic credit while pursuing their passions and exploring their interests through individual and partner project based learning. We imagine that projects might fall under the following categories, but these categories are intended to inspire rather than limit dreams of what could be:

1. Service Projects- meeting the needs/solving a problem in the community

2. Entrepreneurial Projects- starting a business

3. Production Projects- making things

4. Apprenticeships- working with and learning from someone who has a particular skill or craft you would like to learn

5. Investigations- investigating and exploring in a field of interest

6. Internships- working with a company/business/organization as an unpaid intern
