We are Cape Breton Island's community orchestra.

For more than 25 years, we have offered a unique musical experience to the community, playing a wide ranging repertoire, from classical to jazz, opera to pop. Our members come from a variety of backgrounds, from skilled amateurs, to classically trained professional musicians. Perhaps most importantly, each section has music students at the high school and university level, for which the orchestra provides important performance experience.

We are excited to share our holiday program of music at our 2024 Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 1st at 2pm at the Louisbourg Playhouse, 11 Aberdeen St, Louisbourg!

You'll hear classical repertoire as well as many familiar favourites. We are especially thrilled to be playing a selection of music created by Rita MacNeil, sung by our featured guest Jocelyn Hynes. 

Tickets are $25 and are available online or at the door. Student tickets are $15. 

We work hard to keep our ticket prices as low as possible. We want as many people as possible to enjoy the beauty of orchestral music. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to the orchestsra to help us do so.
