Hi, I'm Graden. I have a passion for creative projects and carpentry.
I grew up in rural Alberta where I learned from a young age the hands-on skills and work ethic I value now. My father owned his own trades business where I developed an appreciation for working with my hands and problem solving.
I began working as a carpenter over 10 years ago when I discovered my love of hand-fashioned joinery, using minimal power tools and traditional hand tools. I still use many traditional techniques when I build projects, using little to no hardware. My work is built to last, and created as heirloom art to keep in the home or place of business for years to come.
I spent years working with a talented mentor who instilled in me a deep appreciation for local hardwoods, so everything I build now uses locally and sustainably-sourced Ontario tree species. I feel that this is the right way to preserve our ecosystem. Using locally-grown lumber reduces fossil-fuel consumption during importation. I also enjoy educating my customers on the characteristics of the particular species I work with so that they carry a deeper knowledge of our environment into their own homes.
I am honoured to have made my place in the Toronto artisinal market, so thank you for supporting local and participating in beautifying our community through proper use of our environmental ressources. Please reach out to me via e-mail or phone to book a consultation regarding your crafted needs.
I hope to hear from you!
