The Lincoln Award is a statewide program from AISLE (Association of Illinois School Library Educators) designed to encourage HS students to read. Each year a list of 20 nominees is made by the committee, but the winner is chosen exclusively by students who read 4 or more of the nominated titles.
Do you need writing and formatting help? Are you looking for media resources for videos and podcast creation? Looking to teach yourself something new? Look on this page to find links to help you grow.
What should we buy next? Is there a book or DVD you feel the library should own that we currently do not have in the collection? Let us know!
NOTE: Make sure you double check the catalog to see if we already own the book. If we do, skip this form and just place a hold on the book while logged into the catalog.
"I believe in the transformative power of a school library because it is the crossroads of learning and self-expression. It is an unique environment where all experiences and perspectives are embraced, and patrons can both find themselves and better understand the differences of the human condition. By providing a robust collection, timely instruction, and a welcoming environment, I have an opportunity and responsibility to help students evolve into critical and ethical users of information, curious learners, and enthusiastic creators of ideas to enhance the world around them."
