Grant's Lick Elementary Counseling
The mission of the Grants Lick Elementary School Counseling Program is to provide a data-driven comprehensive school counseling program that provides a safe, caring environment in which every student is engaged in 21st Century Learning skills. The Grants Lick Elementary School Counseling Program creates equity and opportunity for all students through a developmentally appropriate counseling program that strives to meet the needs of every student. The program collaborates with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure all students will be able to identify personal strengths to help them achieve their academic, career, and personal goals as students learn to serve others and become lifelong learners.
The 2018-2019 Counseling program goals are
- By April 2019, students with 6 or more unexcused attendance events (absences or tardies) will decrease by 27.2% to 8 students or less, from April 2018 at 11 students.
- By May 2019, students with 4 or more discipline referrals will decrease by 40% to 3 or less students, from May 2018 at 5 students.
Goals are developed based on looking at multiple factors such as data analysis, school need, and program and school missions.
