Welcome to First Grade!

I began teaching in 2002 and have been in Cambrian since 2005, teaching grades 1, 2, 3, and 5. My oldest daughter went through Cambrian schools (Bagby and Price), and I'm happy to have my 2 younger kids at Steindorf with me. In teaching and learning, I believe in asking why and the power of yet.

I love a strong cup of coffee, good eats, a scenic hike, and solving a challenging riddle. I wish I could travel more. When I have downtime at home, I'm usually on my Kindle, baking bread, or figuring out where I can fit more plants.

This is my 10th year as a classroom teacher. For the past 9 years, I was at Farnham Elementary School, teaching kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. I joined Steindorf this year. I am passionate about exploring ways to incorporate STEM activities into the curriculum with the intention of helping students understand content more in-depth. I want learning to be interactive, relevant, and meaningful for students. I love to get boba tea, go hiking, and travel.
