Reading Log: Read 15 minutes each day. Record it on your reading log and have a parent sign it. You can record the required information on a piece of notebook paper if you don't want to print out the log. Just make sure you have included all the information.

Unit 7: Inventive Writing

Log into google docs to find your Unit 7 outline and writing paper. Then complete these assignments

There are word list resources on the 6th Grade Language Arts pg for your dress-ups.

This week we will revise and edit our 3 body paragraphs from last week.

  • Check all the comments I left you for changes that need to be made
  • Add all your dress ups to each paragraph and color code them.

I have included a checklist for you. Be sure to check everything on the list.

Here is a schedule for you to follow so you do not fall behind. Remember: You must be finished with this week's work by Friday at 3:00 at the latest. Do not wait until Friday to begin. Writing is a slow process that happens over time. Do a little each day. I will be checking each day to see if you are keeping up with the daily schedule.

Please e mail, call, text, face time...with any questions, or if you need help with something!!

Monday:

  • Make all changes recommended from Mrs. Bristow's comments

Tuesday:

  • Add all your dress ups to your "Learned" paragraph
  • Read it out loud to someone and get feedback. Make changes as needed.

Wednesday:

  • Add all your dress ups to your"Laughed" paragraph
  • Read it out loud to someone and get feedback. Make changes as needed.

Thursday:

  • Add all your dress ups to your "Loved" paragraph
  • Read it out loud to someone and get feedback. Make changes as needed.
  • Finish everything else on the checklist.

If you stick to the schedule, you will not have much to do each day, and you will not be overwhelmed on Thursday or Friday. Try it!
