Final Thoughts
This week we will make it personal
Authors write to share a message. They want their books to affect you as a person and challenge the way you think and act.
Look at the lessons learned by our characters through the events in the book, and apply the lesson your character learned to your life personally.
Theme: a message that the author is trying to give—the central idea of the story (in LWW, the theme is good vs. evil)
Moral: the lesson that the writer wants you to learn through the main character's experiences in the book
- Who is the character that influenced you the most?
- What life lesson did the character learn?
- How can that lesson apply to YOUR life in a personal way)?
Answer the3 questions above in a paragraph(5-8 sentences) on a piece of paper. You can use this worksheet if you want to, but notebook paper is fine. Be sure to answer all 3 questions in your paragraph.
