Math Skills
*Identifying numbers 0-10:
*Use number cards to practice identifying numbers.
*Print out two copies to play a matching/ memory game.
*Counting out groups of objects:
*Use number cards or a dice to pick a number. Then count out food (goldfish, m&m’s, cheerios, etc) toys (cars,
figures, marbles, etc) legos, or anything your child would like to use!
*Completing and creating patterns:
*Use objects from around the house to create patterns or draw some on paper (Exp: 1. Sock, shirt, sock, shirt;
2. Fork, fork, spoon, fork, fork, spoon; 3. Circle, triangle, square, circle, triangle, square).
*Sorting objects based on their color, shape and size:
*Make a pile of legos. Have your child sort them into groups first based on their color, then based on their size, then based on their shape.
*Use other objects/ food as well.
*Adding groups together (basic addition with sums to 10):
*Use snacks or toys to practice adding two groups together. (Exp: 3 teddy bears + 2 teddy bears= 5 teddy bears).
