We are the youth ministry at Calhoun First United Methodist Church! We serve a community of teenagers (grades 6th-12th) and adults composed of many faces, names, and stories. We have a wonderful leadership team that is comprised of parents and lay people within the church. We all have the common goal of focusing on how Jesus and how He taught and loved people. We want to meet students where they are and encourage them in their walk with Jesus. If you are in 6th-12th grade, no matter who you are, what your story is, or what you believe, you are always welcome here.!

I have served in this ministry since July 2018. I have had the privilege of serving in other ministries such as FCA, College, Youth, and Camp Ministries since 2014. I believe in the power of "place" and bringing that into the ministry I serve. Making sure that the students feel loved and cared for where they are; that is the driving force behind why the programs are set up the way they are. I graduated the University of North Georgia earning a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor is Organizational Leadership. Through my experiences, I bring a leadership background from working with Grow Days & ELI program, Wesley foundation, and Internships from different churches settings.

I am blessed to be married to my wife Jolie and we have a newborn daughter named Roah. Jolie and I started dating senior year of high school and got married at the end of college. We have been blessed with family and mentors that have helped us understand the biblical narrative of family. This narrative has helped us with how we organize and structure all the programs we do. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at anytime!
