Sony Pictures Media Arts Program (SPMAP) 2018-2019

Program Description

SPMAP classes are offered at five locations in LA County. This class will teach a variety of visual art and animation techniques, such as life drawing, painting, stop motion animation, and claymation. Students will learn to use DSLR cameras, animation software (such as Adobe Animate and Dragonframe), and will produce their own short films. Students will be taught by professional teaching artists from California Institute of the Arts.

This program is completely FREE for all participants.

Ages: 10-14*

Program Staff

Most program instructors are alumni and current students from California Institute of the Arts with a BFA or MFA in Animation.
