Laundry Notes
- The laundry will be available by Friday 7 AM to pick up the bags of used sheets, pillowcases and dirty rags.
- If you cannot make it at 7AM, please let us know if you are able to pick up laundry from the storage shed behind the church later that day or weekend.
- Bring the bags to a Laundromat * or wash them at home. There are quite a few bags to wash, which can get fairly heavy - if you are only pick up one bag, please let us know.
- Wash laundry with the nylon bag(s), after have the sheets folded and placed into bag(s).
- Return sheets and pillowcases to the outdoor shed, or to Winter Shelter Program coworkers before next Thursday (it'll be great if you can return on Sunday).
*If you go to Laundry Mart in TO on Arboles (in the same shopping center as Trader Joe’s), 34 sheets should fit into 2 large-sized washers (each washer can do 6 loads.) Each large washer costs $5.50. The next size smaller costs $4.75. Push “Hot water and extra wash” for the washers, and “hot temperature” for the dryers. It costs $11 to use 2 big washers. It takes 4 dryers to dry them, which costs $0.25 each. Note that you should use very little detergent as it is difficult to get the detergent out of the blanket. The push-carts are helpful.
