In the spirit of the Learning Leaders strategy, the case studies are to capture and share examples of effective practice in managing all aspects of school life from within the system, from foundation stage through to post-16.
The expectation is that as the library of examples grows, the case studies will become a useful resource for teachers who are looking for ideas to help them overcome challenges in the provision of learning. Over time, it will grow organically to share effective learning approaches and teaching practices that support the aim and objectives of the Northern Ireland Curriculum in a way which will feel supportive for teachers.
Strategic Vision for teacher professional learning:
“Every teacher is a learning leader, accomplished in working collaboratively with all partners in the interests of children and young people.”
We would like to thank sincerely the teachers who have agreed to share their experiences. Their generosity with their time, resources and their work is very much appreciated and demonstrates the leadership we are so lucky to have across the education system in Northern Ireland.
“Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.” ― John Maxwell.
