Homework Policy

The purpose and benefit of homework is to reinforce the skills students are learning. Homework is designed to teach responsibility, organizational skills and time management. It also provides opportunities for extensions of learning and creativity. Homework should always be completed by the student and never a parent, friend, or family member. Failure to adhere to this policy will impact grades earned by the student and may result in the student losing privileges.

le

The student’s role is to ask teachers and parents for help when an assignment is not understood, and to establish a system at home so work can be completed and returned on time.

The parent’s role is vital to the student's academic success. Please partner with your student and their teachers. Please communicate with me regarding any extreme extenuating circumstance that may prevent your student from completing homework on time. Contact me to request homework for illness or travel at least twenty-four hours in advance.
