I like in Journalism class that we are given the opportunity to freely choose a topic of discussion. I enjoy being able to choose what to write about for the Rage Page and having that freedom allows for stronger articles and mods. I believe that this allows for stronger writing because we as humans are more passionate about a topic we have an interest in versus a random topic. Being in this class has also helped grow my confidence and become a better writer. This was done by my efforts of stepping out of my comfort zone and growing as a student. Students outside of class may not know that our staff like I discussed earlier, pick our own topics for the Rage Page along with approval. We also design our own Rage Page by hand through Canva. Hobbies that I am interested in are wrestling, reading, writing, listening to music, and watching movies. I am on the girls wrestling team here at Big Walnut and I love it. I joined because I have had a passion for the sport since I was nine. I also love going to the movie theaters because the experience is one of my favorites; especially seeing horror movies. I enjoy writing about sports and entertainment the most. I also enjoy doing profiles on students here. I enjoy writing them because those topics bring out more of a passion in me which allows for a flow during writing. I like writing profiles because I get to learn more about students I didn’t know much about. Most of the time, I learn an interesting hobby of theirs that I had no idea about. After high school, I plan to study Pre-Med to become an OBGYN. I also am looking to wrestle on a girls team for my college as well. My favorite class this year as a junior would have to be Yearbook. I love designing spreads, writing captions, and interviewing people. While all this can be intimidating at certain times, I still favor the class. I have learned numerous skills and made great friendships.
