Village Coffee Opens

Madison Beaulieu, 10

Sunbury Square welcomes Village Coffee of Sunbury, where patrons can sip for a good cause.

The new coffee shop supports an organization called Out of Darkness. This organization supports human trafficking victims. Both owners work for the organization, and a portion of sales from every cup of coffee goes toward helping human trafficking victims.

Big Walnut coffee lovers who want to support this cause can sample some of the store’s most popular products, even its tea and lemonade. They have a variety of products from standard coffee drinks to smoothies, Italian sodas, matcha, ice cream, and baked goods.

Sophomore Lyndsey Bintz said, “The sizes are better-priced compared to Starbucks.

According to VCS Instagram, the most popular tea is sunrise tea. In this tea, there is Blueberry lemonade and Indigo tea. Prices range from $4.45 to $5.25.

Many BWHS students have already visited this cafe and offered their reviews..

Bintz said, “The Village coffee flavors taste original.”

Sophomore Jade Murray said, “ I don’t like it because it’s too expensive, but the service was good.”

The Village Coffee has an amazing atmosphere to study, have meetings, or even just hang out with friends.

Sophomore Sydney Salyer said that she loves Village Coffee because it is a closer alternative than farther coffee shops.

The service is one of the highlights of the business. Going into the coffee shop you are always greeted by a barista who kindly takes your order. They were knowledgeable and helpful in selection of their menu items.

The other perk is that since this is newly opened, they always have samples of their food items.
