Fantasy Football Kicks Off

Griffin Mininger, 11

Football is right around the corner and Fantasy Football Leagues are starting up all over the place. Much time is being spent trying to find the best strategy to win the league.

Junior Darren Barr said, “This is my third year playing Fantasy and I still haven't found the best strategy to win my league”

“My strategy going into this season is to pick the cool names and the people I know best. You never know, I might just get lucky,” Barr added.

Junior Riley Skinner said, “ My strategy this year is to draft wide receivers first, and then get a quarterback.”

Confidence is clearly a key part of playing Fantasy Football.

Skinner shared that his team is projected to 8th place, while Barr said his team is projected 7th. “I feel my team is pretty good and will place top 3,” said Skinner.

Barr also feels his team is underrated: “I feel my team will definitely get better than seventh. I have some sold players.”

Win or lose, Fantasy Football brings people together. Senior Adam Wilhelm said, “I hosted the FFL draft at my house. Everyone in the league showed up. My most memorable part of the night was when Liam Rooney took Justin Tucker at 52 overall and everyone yelling at it,” Wilhelm added.

Junior Drew Hendon said, “I went

to Roosters with my eight-man league.

It was pretty fun, and I hope to do it

again next year.”

Students had their draft favorites of course.

Junior Michael Spangenberg said, “I was

very happy when I got Stefan Digs.” “When I drafted Diggs I knew I would do decent the entire season,” Spangenberg said.

Darren Barr said “Going into the draft I wanted to draft Patrick Mahomes. That did not work out that well though, so I drafted Justin Hurts. I was still pretty excited I got Hurts,” Barr added.

Get out and join a league. Win or loose, you will have fun.
