Print shop stays inspired

Isaiah Schutt, Class of 2025

The students who work at the Print Shop in room 2410 are passionate about what they do.

Print Shop is a student-run business during 10 th period that produces print products for clients.

These students shared that the most rewarding asepct of the class is seeing their designs in the community.

“We love seeing [our designs] because it shows how we're like a part of the community,” junior Alex Shirkey, a veteran of the class, said.

Shirkey shared that the class has made several logos for area businesses, including Mr. Robinson's new company.

“We made their logo for a new company that him and his couple of his friends made,” Shirkey said.

The class has also worked closely with a brand named Legacy. "I'm sure we've made every single logo that they've had for all of their attachment brands,” Shirkey said.

Print Shop partnered with the Spirit Shop this year to create designs that students can purchase.

Shirkey said, “I think it's like really cool and I think it shows like school spirit and it also helps us understand like what the students like more and what they want to get and stuff. I think it's like represents Big Walnut well, in a cool way.”

The students in the class are in the process of designing brochures for the new houses in the city.

“That kind of stuff we love seeing because it shows how we're like a part of the community,” Shirkey added.

According to her, the staff never sits around a lot and everyone always works on something.

The staff is working on some Valentine's Day designs so keep an eye out for that.
