About Mr. Lay:

Matthew Lay has been teaching at Broomfield High School since the fall of 2010. Like many teachers here, he is also a graduate of BHS. After high school, he earned a Bachelor's degree in English and history from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Then he stayed at UCCS for two more years to complete an MA in history, followed by a move north to CU Boulder for an MA in Education. Currently, he is teaching 10th grade language arts, Newspaper, and Yearbook. He works with the boys' soccer team, Chess Club, Google tools, as well as the school's web page. In addition to reading and learning, his main passions are traveling and spending time with friends, engaging in any kind of competition.
