In this first installment of the Harry potter series, Harry discover things about himself and his past. All of Harry’s life he has known nothing but neglect from the Dursleys. After his parents died Harry has known nothing even close to love. Some things change after he gets a letter telling him that he’s a wizard and inviting him to take a place at a school that’s full of magic. Will he make new friends, enemies, or even discover some dangerous secrets? Are you ready to dive into the magical world of Harry Potter ?
Just as New York Times book Review puts it as the first book of Harry Potter is a “ wonderful first novel”. This story is nerve racking and so suspenseful it could make you jump out of your seat at any given moment. This story and series has a fair amount of hard words and a complicated storyline. The earliest age I recommend to start reading this is eight to nine years of age. One of my favorite of the many quotes in the book is,
“ It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends,” - Albus dumbledore. Are you interested in reading the first book of Harry Potter? - AOT
Cricket was always a curious dragon. She wanted to know everything. From questions about the smallest bug to the largest hive. That was how she got into the entire adventure of running from the queen, and because she is immune to Queen Wasps hive mind. That's the most dangerous question she wants to know, why is she not effected?
Cricket is now running and hiding from a queen that controls all the Hivewings on the continent. Blue comes out of his chrysalis and gets wings with much more in stored. This is a action packed heart warming story. Cricket and her friends Blue, Swordtail, and Sundew have almost nothing to enjoy on their thrilling adventure through Pantala. This amazing book shows how Cricket, Blue, Swordtail, and Sundew have nothing in common yet these four come together to stop Queen Wasp from controlling the Hivewings, and stop the the Leafwings from starting another Tree Wars. Will they succeed or will the Hives go down in flames?

Artemis Fowl is a very suspenseful and interesting book. I really got into the series because of the detail and astonishing acts on every page. From disciques to criminal masterminds, I enjoyed reading this book. I could barely put it down once I started. I would say the recommended reading age is 10-16 just because of the harder word choice.
“Stay back human you don’t know who your dealing with.”- Holly Short

“This fantasy adventure delivers what fans loved about the Percy Jackson and the olympians series: young protagonists with previously unsuspected magical powers, a riveting story marked by a headlong adventure, a complex background rooted in ancient mythology, and wry, witty twenty-first century narration.” - Booklist starred review.
Other interesting books by this author is Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The heroes of Olympus Magnus Chase, The mark of Athena, The battle of Labyrinth, Percy Jackson and the son of Sobek, the demigod diaries and other books from the author. Also, the recommended reading age is 10 and up. - RM
by Donna Jo Napoli
I love Lights on the Nile by Donna Jo Napoli because there are a lot of main characters. One of my favorites is named Kepi, a princess, long ago who has lost two loved ones that just magically disappeared. She is going on an adventure to find them. Will she meet new people on her way? Will she find her loved ones?
One reason, I love Kepi is because she never gives up and also she is full of courage. She is a kind person who builds friendships. She is helpful to others because she helps animals get their food. For example, she helps a cat get its food. Another example is when she helps a bird that had hurt its little foot.
Will Kepi keep her promise of finding both of her loved ones? In Lights on the Nile she blurted to the guards, “Listen men I’ve lost two of my love ones. I need to find them I need you guys to help find my loved ones. Can you guys please please help me find them I need them like I need you guys!”
I think you should read Light on the Nile because it is emotional and a lesson learning book. You might also have a new favorite character in this book like I did, which is Kepi. - ADLC
