What is PTA?

PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association.National PTA Website There are no dues to pay and all parents or caregivers of children who attend Casey Middle School, along with all staff, are members. We are a group of men and women working together toward a common goal: creating a better school and a better educational experience for our children. We strive to create an atmosphere where teachers, administrators, and support staff can do their best work – so our children can too!

What does it mean to be a member?

That depends on you! We encourage you to get involved at whatever level is comfortable for you.

Why should I get involved?

Participation through volunteering allows you to be "hands on" with your child’s education. All research indicates that when families are involved, a child is more apt to get higher grades, be more likely to graduate, and go on to college. Our children love to see us in the environment where they spend the majority of their day, and you get to know your children’s teachers and friends. It’s a win-win!

Participation through attendance at PTA meetings gives you a voice. As a voting member you help decide what we do as a group and how our money is spent.

Events You Won't Want to Miss!

We plan memorable events each school year, all designed to foster a sense of community and school pride; and we wouldn’t want you to miss out on any of the fun! All of our events are on the calendar.

Details are subject to change, but mark your calendars now! Updates will be sent out via email and on our school facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/CaseyMiddle

Resources

The Parents’ Guides to Student Success were developed by teachers, parents and education experts in response to the Common Core State Standards that more than 45 states have adopted.

Created for grades K-8 and high school English, language arts/literacy and mathematics, the guides provide clear, consistent expectations for what students should be learning at each grade in order to be prepared for college and career.
