Hello BVCS Preschool Families:

What a wonderful couple of weeks we’ve had in Chapel! On Monday and Tuesday, we were blessed to have more than 40 family members join us. It was so special to see so many families participate! Several of the children helped lead us in prayer, songs, and reciting our Bible verse, Genesis 1:1.

We also reviewed our vocabulary words with the help of Willie the Word Bird. Our newest word is “CREATION.” Willie taught us that CREATION has three sounds: 

CRE – A – TION. We learned that creation means making something out of nothing—and that only God can do that!

We’ve been learning about how God created our amazing world. We also talked about the sneaky snake who lied to Adam and Eve, and how they chose to go against God. Even though they disobeyed, God continued to love them and had a plan to make things right.

We’ve also been learning about Moses, whom God chose to lead His people away from the evil Pharaoh. We learned how God gave Moses the power to part the waters using his shepherd’s staff. Later, God took Moses up onto a mountain and gave him special rules to follow. Willie taught us the big word for those rules: COMMANDMENTS!

It has been such a wonderful time learning these basic truths together. We want our children to understand that the Bible is filled with true stories about real people and real events, and it is also filled with God’s Word and His love for us.

Most importantly, we’re learning that prayer is simply talking to God. We can talk to Him anytime, anywhere, and about anything. What a beautiful truth for our children to learn at such a young age!
