Children deserve a safe place to learn! Our school has been investing in armed campus security since the spring of 2023. Although the cost is about $70 per student, tuition increases only reflect the cost of living increases, not the additional security costs for things like our security officer and our new Raptor security screening tool.
So, how do we resource such important safety benefits at Big Valley Christian School? Through our IMPACT Fund! You can help us continue to fund this important initiative by giving now by going to this LINK and giving.
The Big Valley Christian School (BVCS) Impact Fund is a way to support the school's students, staff, and families by providing resources for five key areas: academics, innovation and safety, staff, athletics, and theater arts.
We view you as a valued partner with us in the education process. Thank you to everyone for supporting BVCS, because of your gifts to the IMPACT Fund, you’re helping make it possible for us to live out our mission to nurture and equip students to impact the world for Christ!
Campus Safety & Security Information:
BVCS has a safety team that meets quarterly to discuss and review campus safety.
We have a security company (Rank) on our campus during the school day.
BVCS administration works closely with local law enforcement (Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department, MPD, and Modesto City School's Security) for training and sharing of information.
Campus Access:
For the safety of our campus, the glass doors for the majority of our doors remain locked throughout the day.
To enter the campus (PS - 6) or building (7-12), please press the button on the call box, and one of our office staff will allow entry.
Once you have entered the building, please go directly to the school office.
All visitors staying on campus must sign in, receive a visitor’s badge, and sign out upon leaving.
All classroom doors remain locked all day.
