Research Field : Renewable Energy Systems
As of 2024, I am working as a Professor and the head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering since 2015 in BVCOE, New Delhi. I have been working as HOD-Instrumentation and Control Engineering-as additional charge since Sept 2024. Before joining BVCOE as a Lecturer in July, 2005, I served as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Northern India Engineering College, New Delhi for 1.6 years, prior to which I worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at KIET, Ghaziabad for a period of 3.4 years.
My teaching and research field include the areas of Power systems and Renewable energy. In 2019, I received my Ph.D. degree from NIT, Kurukshetra in Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems. Before that, I earned my Master’s degree in Electrical (Power Apparatus Systems) Engineering from Delhi Technological University (formerly Delhi College of Engineering), India in 2006 and my Bachelor’s degree in Electrical (Electronics and Power System) Engineering from Amravati University, Maharashtra, India in 2000. I have various research papers in many areas of Battery Energy Storage and Off-grid PV Systems for Remote Rural Electrification at national and international level.
I have been involved in many scholarly services such as guest-editing special issues and reviewing research papers for international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, organizing an international conference and various workshops. I have also received awards from IET Delhi Local Network for being the best student counselor. Moreover, I have been supervising undergraduate students in their project work and am presently supervising and working in a research group for Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems. Also, I am a member of reputed professional bodies such as ISTE and IET.
