Phishing is an attempt by scammers to obtain sensitive or confidential information by using deceptive practices through email, ads, text messages, etc.
As a precaution, TIS tags all incoming emails that come from external senders.
Please be extra cautious to click any link that is placed in these type of emails. Only click on links from trusted sources. If you are unsure if an email is legitimate, please forward it to TIS for verification.
It is important to never divulge user credentials to anyone, especially if the request comes in the form of an email. Also, the IT Department will never ask you for your credentials. If you receive an email with a link requesting credentials, please forward that email to anyone in the IT department, then delete it.
