Working stage (demo site)

ONLY connected in HKBU's broadband network
NOT include wifi
For editing, add and delete section, page...etc
Preview before launch the content

What does user need to concern for naming “Section Structure Name”

Section Structure Name = Folder name in hyperlink

It should be only "lower case" + "short"
NO upper case, Chinese
Allow " - " for replace SPACE. eg. Undergraduate Students > undergraduate-students

What does user need to concern for naming “Section Name” and Where does “Section Name” display on web

It will be show in "Menu" and "Section Area"

The words in label may short, not too long
Capitalized Case
NO Chinese

Why does user need to choose “Index page”

It may more one page in section, user has to choose a page for "Index page". When people click in menu then it will go to the "Index page"

What is the standard of section banner?

Template 1.0

Ratio: 11(width) : 2(height)
Resolution:
BEST 2200px (width) : 400px (height)
At LEAST 1100px (width) : 200px (height)

What happen if NO section banner and where does user get the banner?

The section banner will be empty.

How to upload / change section banner

Choose the image and crop the size

Section Properties > Section Banner (eng) > Choose file > Upload > select image > Select > Update > Generate all page under this Section

What is the function of “Show in meun”

The section menu name will be showed in selected language website.

Page name can be shown in menu / breadcrumb, normally Page should be set "NOT" show in menu.

How to edit the faculty member list in dept. site

Step1

Login CMS and go to eng > faculty-member
Upload PDF files to pdf folder
Resize and upload the Faculty member head photos to images folder
- Size: 76px (width) x 114 px(height)

Step2

Edit index.jsp
1. Edit HTML
2. Open the tools
3. Open the source file to view the code
4. Copy all code to Notepad

Step3

Copy and edit the code as below
Put the new code between </tr> and < !--------- END ----------->

As It linked to Sedona system, it may take 10-15min to loading.

The server has been reload every 15 min by has scheduled
