My name is Nicholas Herr. I was born and raised in Bleiblerville, Texas. I graduated from Bellville High School in 2011. Agricultural has been a major part of my life so far. I have shown commercial and register heifers for nine years at the local county fair and at the major stock shows.
I was very active in FFA in high school. I have received my Lone Star degree and my American FFA degree. I was on the State Champion Dairy Cattle Judging team in Bellville in 2010 and also on the Reserve National Range and Pasture in 2011. I graduated from Blinn Junior College in May 2013 with an Associates of Science in Agriculture. I student taught at Burton High School. I graduated from Texas A&M University in May 2015, with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science. This will be my eleventh year teaching Ag at Burton High School.
Over the past 10 years, Burton FFA has won the State Livestock contest in 2021, Reserve National Livestock judging team in 2021, 3 top 10 State Dairy Cattle teams, State Champion Team Roper, 5th Place State GH Skills, and students have received numerous FFA Scholarships.
