The Library is open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Depending on Mrs. Aranyos' schedule for the day, the Library may be open longer.
Books and eBooks may be checked out for 3 weeks and may be renewed for another 3 weeks unless they are in high demand. eBooks can be viewed on any device with Internet access and will be checked back in automatically after 2 weeks.
Students are encouraged to check out their own library books using the self-checkout station. A tutorial video can be found here, and Mrs. Aranyos will instruct all students on how to use it.
Students can request books via Follett Destiny.
All books can be returned via the Book Drop outside of the Library at any time.
Students are expected to work and talk quietly in the Library to avoid disrupting others who are reading, studying, and completing assignments.
Please do not move library furniture.
Please be respectful of the other teachers and students using the space.
eAcademy Students: Parent pickup and drop off are available for curriculum-related and personal enjoyment materials.
Library periods are divided into the following classifications:
Periods 1-4 & 8-10 - The Library is open to scheduled classes. Any additional students must have a signed pass from their subject teacher to be admitted. Substitute teachers cannot send students to the Library during these periods. Students with free periods must stay in Senior Court.
Academic Resource Periods (5A, 6B, 7C) - The Library is open to all students wanting to complete a quick task like checking out a book or printing an assignment. Students must check in with their AR teachers and get a Library Fast Pass to come in.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I check out a book?
Students can scan ID cards or type in ID numbers to checkout books. The Technology Department prints ID cards each year using yearbook photos.
How many books can I check out at one time?
Up to 5.
Does the library charge late fines?
No.
Then, what happens if I have overdue books?
Printed overdue notices are distributed once per week in English class.
E-mail overdue notifications are sent to students and their parents every Thursday morning.
2 weeks overdue -- E-mail sent to parent/guardian
3 weeks overdue -- Phone call home to parent/guardian
4 weeks overdue -- Billed for the replacement cost of the book
What happens if I lose a library book?
Lost books must be paid for. If you lose one, see Mrs. Aranyos for the cheapest replacement cost. Seniors cannot graduate if they owe money for lost books.

When can I come to the library?
Teachers bring their students to the library for research throughout the year. Students can also come to the library during AR.
Does the library have any college and career resources?
Yes. There is an entire section devoted to college and career preparedness located in the library storage closet.
Can I borrow supplies?
Yes! All student supplies are on top of the book shelves in the middle of the space. We have: pens, pencils, markers, sharpies, colored pencils, highlighters, rulers, tape, staplers, calculators, paper clips, white-out, erasers, glue sticks, paper, notecards, and more! Take what you need, and return what you can.
