Girls Tennis

Game, set, match!

From good restaurants at away matches to great snack breaks, the girls once again prove that tennis is so much more than volleys and returns. Senior Alexa Armando said, "Playing tennis was a great bonding experience with everyone on the team, especially joking around with Mr. Reddick."  Sophomore Sarah Waldsmith agreed, "Tennis is a fun experience and something I will always remember as one of my high school memories!"

According to Coach Reddick, one of the highlights was when Stull and Armando advanced to finals knocking out Ellis School, which is one of the top teams in the section.

Senior members of the team included Alexa Armando, Payton Montgomery,  Tegan Montgomery, Ally Smola, Makenzie Schuller, Jess Stull, and Meadow Wlodarczyk.

From the intense matches in a hard section to the incredible achievements, these girls demonstrated what it means to show off on the courts.  The girls were able to successfully take down every non-section team which unfortunately did not help them to move on to WPIALs, but helped them to end the season with a 5-5  record.

The following girls competed at WPIALS:

Singles:

Meadow Wlodarczyk & Jess Stull

Doubles:

Meadow Wlodarczyk & Anna Clark

Alexa Armando & Jess Stull

Coach Reddick always says, "Cookies on point!" which he clearly started on his very last first day of school... EVER!
