Seniors recognized for academic excellence
By Gabe Zicceralli
On Tuesday, May 23, 62% of the class of 2023 attended the Senior Awards ceremony in order to be recognized for their academic achievements. This event showcased dedication, hard work, and academic excellence demonstrated by these exceptional students. The recognition also extended far beyond grades and test scores. Embracing leadership qualities, community service, and athletic success were heavily emphasized for the consideration of potential award recipients. Students such as Ian Quinn, Ryan Scheftic, and Connor Kariotis stood out amongst their classmates as they received several scholarships and awards. The class of 2023 was so academically impressive that 45 students received their 4th year scholar awards, while a majority received their double colored cord on top of that. We wish the class of 2023 the best and the faculty looks forward to pushing the underclassmen to achieve as much greatness as the seniors had accomplished.
