What’s your teaching style?

(after asking a student) I would say “casual and humorous."

What was your favorite subject in high school/ college?

Oh, English. Duh?!? 

How long have you been teaching at Burrell? 

This is my 21st year. (sighs)

What’s your favorite class to teach?

Speech… even though I don’t teach it. I also really like AP Lang!

What would students be surprised to find out about you?

Nothing, I tell a lot of stories.

Do you have any pets? If so, what pets? 

I have fish and a turtle. I want a teacup pig and a bunny, though. No squirrels.

Where is your dream vacation? 

My dream vacation is Ireland, but I love Letchworth State Park, Bushkill, Niagara Falls... I guess anywhere there is a waterfall.

What is your favorite part of teaching? 

Going home... JK... building connections with the students.

What is a highlight from your senior year of high school? 

I was typecast as the “ditzy blonde” in my senior play. It was fun to take a pie to the face during the production for a grand total of 5 pies including dress rehearsals.
