How long have you been teaching?
19 years total - 1 year as a 10th & 11th grade English teacher & 18 years as a high school librarian
What is your favorite book and why?
All the fantasy books! Reading is a healthy way to escape reality for awhile. Books are magic.
If you were stuck on a deserted island, what are the three things you would bring?
If it was less than a week, I would bring strong sunscreen, a knife, and some sweet beach tunes. Longer than a week... *panic*
If you were framed for a crime what would be the most believable and why?
Money laundering or tax evasion. Don't worry about why.
Did you know today is Taylor Swift’s birthday? What is your favorite Taylor Swift song?
No, I didn't know that. I'll go with "Bad Blood," and no, I never did get tickets to the show :( However, I do prefer much heavier music.
What is your favorite organization you sponsor?
My favorite club I sponsor is Student Government because it has the best kids in the school, and we plan all the fun activities. If only Caroline Kelley would join!
What is a secret talent you have that most people don’t know about?
I memorized the entire Dewey Decimal System, created in 1876 by icon, legend, and "Father of Modern Librarianship," Melvil Dewey. It's the greatest organizational system known to man with the ability to grow as new topics develop over the years. Fascinating stuff.

Alaska.
What is your favorite hobby?
I love skiing, but I don't hit the slopes as much as I'd like to.
What is your favorite part of teaching?
Co-teaching Yearbook & Newspaper with Mrs. Shaffer. She's the best. And all the money and prestige.
What is your favorite Gifted field trip you have ever been on?
I loved taking students to Fallingwater in Mill Run, PA in 2018. The architecture, water features, and fall leaves were just stunning, and my students got to participate in cool, hands-on activities.
