Marching Band Leaves Visiting Bands "Overthrown"
You know that every Friday once you hear those drums, the real fun is about to begin. Once the BURRELL BUCCANEER MARCHING BAND takes the field, they play a mighty fight song for the football team as they charge down the pre-game tunnel. At games, the band rivaled the "boombox" speakers of the Student Section with song selections such as “Seven Nation Army," "The Imperial March" from Star Wars, and everyone's favorite, "Tequila," erupted from the stands which are coincidentally beside the Student Section. As the marching band has proven in past years, Burrell's Marching Band is one to rival at games and competitions. Their performances this year at half-time with their show "Overthrown" set a new standard for the band’s performance.
The Drumline jams while the colorguard whirl their flags in a frenzy of color.
Drum Majors Senior Emily Marchlewski and Junior Leah Leslie lead the band.
Clarinets, mellophones, saxophones, and trumpets play in perfect harmony.
