A few days after students returned from Thanksgiving Break, Burrell High School began their Annual Holiday Door Decorating Competition. Students in their respective AR rooms were given a week to put their creative ideas to the test and make their teacher's door the best-looking in the school. The deadline was two weeks before break, so we had time to enjoy the holiday cheer before departing on break. Voting was done electronically featuring all the doors that were decorated. Some were very creative like the winners below, but others were as simple as a small sign (no names mentioned here). The categories this year were:
Most Holiday Spirit
Most Unique
Best Pop Culture Reference
Funniest
A special category of "Honorable Mention" was presented to Central Office's door (since they technically couldn't participate), which was definitely full of holiday and creative spirit.
Congratulations to all the winners, and thank you to all who participated and made the halls a little more bright and cheery this holiday season!
Most Holiday Spirit: Mrs. Wagner, Room 116 - "Colorful Christmas Tree"
Funniest: Ms. Holtzman & Mr. Zanella, Room 206 - "The Grinch"
Best Pop Culture Reference: Mrs. Stumpf, Room 112 - "Sleigh My Name"
Most Unique: Mrs. Menhart, Room 102 - "The Polar Express"
Honorable Mention to the Administration Office for their door, "The Office"
