Bowling Regionals and Beyond
The Burrell Bucs Bowling Team had a great season. The boys were able to finish their year 8th out of 24 teams in the WPIBL at Regionals. Many players on this team stood out for many reasons, such as Senior Jacob Terranova, Junior Brady Colgan, and Senior Leah McCandless.
To follow is a quick overview of their achievements:
Terranova made the All-Tournament Team. Colgan had a fabulous season this year for the bowling team, where he represented the Burrell Buccaneers along with McCandless at the WPIBL Regional Championships. Colgan commented on his time at the competition, "There was a lot of pressure on me, it's best to just reset yourself after each frame and take your time."
McCandless had an outstanding season for the Bucs where she had a perfect game bowling a 300 and got 1st place at Regionals which landed her spot in the state competition. She was also very excited to represent the Burrell Bucs at the WPIBL State Championships where she had a great day at the lanes and received 15th place.
Overall, the bowling team was full of great competitors and had a great season behind them.
Leah McCandless doing what she's great at, and bowling to add another win to her great record.
