Shrek rocks BHS
This year's musical was Shrek which is written by David Lindsay-Abaire with music by Jeanine Tesori. It was performed in the auditorium at BHS from March 21-23. Shrek was directed by Mr. Connolly, who chose to go with a more traditional musical this year which did not disappoint.
With a complicated set and numerous costume changes, Con and his Creative Design and Production Teams had their hands full. In addition to the cast and crew as mentioned below. Con has a lot of people who help with the design and production of the show:

Synopsis from the Program
Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek who lived in a swamp. A princess named Fiona was kept in a tower by Lord Farquaad. Farquaad sent Shrek to rescue Fiona in exchange for his swamp. Along the way, Shrek met a talkative Donkey who became his friend. They saved Fiona, escaped a dragon, and returned to confront Farquaad. The story continues...
After intermission, it's revealed that Fiona transforms into an ogre at sunset. As they head back to Duloc, Fiona and Shrek grow closer, but Fiona hides her secret. When Shrek overhears her self-deprecating comment, he rushes off to confront Farquaad about their marriage. Meanwhile, Donkey reveals Fiona's secret to Shrek, and they race to stop the wedding before sunset, aided by a dragon who loves Donkey.

Junior Elliana Koulouris- Role: Dancer, Fairytale Creature. Eliana enjoyed being on the dance troupe, it was her first time doing that instead of being a lead role like in previous years. Some things she enjoyed were the different costumes and doing a more popular show because the crowd turnout was much larger.
Sophomore Lauren Jablonski- Role: Orchestra Performer. Lauren said that it was a little bit stressful, being that it was her first time playing the alto saxophone, along with the flute, clarinet, and piccolo. "The Shrek music was more challenging and rewarding than previous shows, as it was more instrumental. Overall enjoyed the experience of meeting new people and playing in the orchestra pit.
Junior Katelyn Junod- Role: Dancer. Katelyn loved the set and the lighting during the show. it was her second musical, but was her favorite of the two.
