Choir and Show Choir Celebrate the Holiday Season
By Staff
Musical life is mainly back to normal with a performing schedule for choir. Although masks still need to be worn in the school during practice, performances can still go on. This year, the choir performed at the Allegheny Courthouse in December. The Show Choir is also back practicing not quite as often but still preparing for performances. The choir is under the direction of Kala Williams, who was new to Burrell last year, so she is looking forward to her first "normal" year of practices and performances.
Concert Choir and Show Choir holiday concerts were also in December. Seniors Jesse Wheeler and Brooke McElhattan attended the WCMEA choir festival November 18 and 19.
The Winter Concert featured a BHS tradition of sing "Carol of the Bells" with a twist this year. They invited alumni to the stage to join them. Eight alumni attended and sang in the concert this year.
